About the Artist: Automotive art was a natural direction for artist Roger Redford. Born and raised in Detroit, the atmosphere generated by the "Motor City" helped fuel his love for cars. Life took him into several, unconnected directions until a chance meeting with Russell Goebel, publisher of AutoWeek magazine, pointed him toward his goal. Roger worked for AutoWeek for over nine years surrounded by his passion, cars and racing. It was the traditional, "Kid in a candy store" scenerio. When the publication was sold and moved Roger stayed in Reno to work with Harrah’s Hotel in their art department. For his love of cars, there was the famous Harrah’s Automobile Collection. There would be plenty of projects involving the collection to keep him happy. If there was one car that he had to have it was the Mustang. Last year his dream was fulfilled when he bought a 2010 Mustang V6. He’s made a few modifications to his car, with more to come. The natural move was to join the SVTOA. Ask Roger what his "Car Wish List" would include and the original Boss 302, with the 2012 version parked side-by-side, in his garage. Someday.
